Linear slider bearing, also named linear bearing, or linear-motion bearing, is a bearing designed to provide free motion in one direction.

Motorized linear sliders such as machine sliders, X-Y tables, roller tables and some dovetail sliders are bearings moved by drive mechanisms. Not all linear sliders are motorized, and non-motorized dovetail sliders, ball bearing sliders and roller sliders provide low-friction linear movement for equipment powered by inertia or by hand.
